Bangkok 02/03/06

Hello to all who are reading the first my first journal. Landed in Bangkok safely with no complaints. The smells and sounds of this hectic city has not changed, the people are still very happy and they would all like a piece of your money if they could get it.
Decided to stay at a Guest house going by the name of Shanti Lodge. Has everything you need and all that more, very friendly staff with great rooms for the budget consciences. Close enough to Khao San Rd to feel the hustle and bustle of Farang (Foreigners) buying up there needs for the next leg or sitting in transit but far enough so your not hassled to buy something every two minutes. Bangkok has so much to offer if hanging out in a city is more your style with so many temples and markets about. Toured the Grand Place today which is something words a little short for, makes the Parliament house at home look very shabby. Wat Pho Temple was brilliant, the oldest in Bangkok, I was amazed with size of Buddha. Tonight is the famous Muay Thai boxing night were I get to see the best bash it out in the ring.
To be honest I am really looking forward to getting out of the city and heading north to the laos border. Until then folks see yu
