Thats right, Night Train, not just a good song by GNR but a comfortable ride as well. Made it off Koh Phangan, got the "12:00" boat, which left at 1:15....just barely caught our "5:32" train back to Bangkok...whcih actually left at 630...which is great about Thai time, it might leave on time or it might not (chances are not) but you dont want to be late anyway...so we booked a Lower sleeper cabin or so we thought...I imagined a private room, with just a bed in it, like in old movies....on the lower level, hence the lower sleeper cabin..but when we got on it just ment we got to sleep on the lower bunk in a tran car that was kind of like a dorm room...it was cool though, had couple drinks, nice fried rice dinnner..and slept like a baby most of the night...we were supposed to arrive at 555 am in bangkok..but I noticed during the night the train kept stopping and then you would hear this train fly by us, then we would go on our way...so we got the clunker train, which was so slow that it had to get off the tracks every couple hours to let

Me on the lower bunk on the train
a faster train by....anway..pretty unevenful trip except when I smashed a window on one of the side doors....the train was rolling to a stop and we were going to get out and stretch, and then it sudenlly stopped causing my fist and head to go right thorough this window and smashed glass all over the place..there was a little kid standing beside me and luckily he didnt get a glass sharrd right throuh his head...it was pretty close.. the train police?(I dont know exactly what they are but they are these dudes in full army uniforms with guns who patroll all the stations) thought it was funny,...

anway we are back in bangkok now at a sweet guesthouse planning our journey to Cambodia...superbowl is on the TV tomorow and Im predicting a Steelers win 24 - 21....MVP - Willie Parker....

Thats it for now, wish me luck as I try to get to Cambodia
