Just a quick note this time.
Been mostly lying on dentist chairs during the last week... 2 full days and two shorter appointments. So the treatments so far include:
* Fixing 3 cavities
* Redoing the root canals of the 2 teeth that need to be crowned (took a whole day!)
* Putting pins inside the roots (they had to do that twice, the first pins didn't fit my teeth)
* Installing temporary crowns (plastic)

The next appointment is on April 7th. On 1 day, they will have to install the permanent braces, possibly pull out 2 teeth, and install the braces... another full day of lying in dentist chairs with a cloth over my face.

Another issue is the material of the braces... they suggest palladium (a metal), as metal is stronger than ceramic. But reading up on the materials they use, I got a little worried about the toxicity of metals in the mouth... I am not going to take the risk and go for ceramic anyhow. Guess I'll have to avoid chewing hard things for a while, certainly for as long as I have to wear braces (braces put extra pressure on the crown).

So

I saw this "fight"... they didn't even once actually hit each other. So basically just to attract horny men.
meanwhile, it's time for a "real" vacation. Decided to go to a beach on a deserted island (Ko Chang, near Ranong). No internet, no mobile phone signal, probably not even phone. A challenge on itself.. can I endure 10 days of living without all those goodies ?? An additional motivation is making sure to have a tan... can't come back after 7 months looking all white, can I? Got 2 bikini's in Bangkok, so I'm prepared ;-)

Hopping onto the boat to the island after logging off here...
I will be back in Bangkok by April 6th...
take care xx
