Our hotel room The Asia Bangkok The end of Hong Kong arrived and we were ready to go. We had done everything hong kong had to offer. Before we went to thailand we Decided to take our dirty clothes to the laundry (which was just a little old chinese woman in a hut) so we would have clean stuff for thailand. When we got them back neils T Shirts were like belly tops haha. They have all been lashed and we have bought a new wardrobe from thailand's markets. 90p a t shirt, 1.50 shorts and 1.50 for birkenstocks its great.
Well after a 2 hour flight from hong kong we have arrived in thailand. Being the only westerners on the plane and being seperated on the flight (sally at the back neil in the front) didnt help matters because the flight was going onto mumbi and delhi after thailand so you can imagine how this flight went. Neil was stuck in the middle seat in the middle row on his own. Lucky enough i got the aisle seat next to a man who couldnt control his wind, lucky me.
Our first impressions of bangkok were its VERY hot 40 degrees and manic. Its

The Grand Palace everyman for them selves on the roads there is no lanes and they just drive as fast as they can weaving in and out of the traffic and beeping. We picked to get a limousine service to the hotel after my (neil) mum and dad told us it was the cheapest and best way. We have found out that its the most expensive way 850 bhat and it was only a 4x4 not a limo (Nice one dont you know were on a budget that was 2 nights in our guesthouse).
We have visited the grand palace and about 20 other little wat's in 1 day. we had a walk around a few street markets and got some very nice rice with loads of spices and chicken for 20 bhat - about 30p.
We had booked 3 nights in a 4 star hotel before we set off. It felt like a 7 star after our hong kong experience haha. It was pretty dead around the hotel so we have been making use of the tuk tuk's which are just little 3 wheeler half motorbike half car type things to get to khao san road where all the backpackers

We have loaded some pics for you to see. we got the train along the death railway what was built by the POW's.
