First days in Bankok!

Hi everyone, we've finally arrived! After a long hectic flight we arrived to khao san road in bangkok at 3 am. The taxi driver was crazy! We found our guesthouse and finally got to bed around 5 AM. Got only a few hours sleep but not tired at all as its all too exciting. On our first day in Bangkok we pretty much walked around for probably 6 hours, two of which were spent wandering narrow alleys and streets. We got lost and somehow found our way back. It was amazing to see all the people selling little trinkets and weird things. We saw a few temples but still havent seen the grand palace. The food here is amazing. Our first dish was obviously a pad thai, which was exceptionally delicious. The price was very low, approximately 70 baht for a dish ( around 2.25 Canadian). We have tried lots of thai food so far, and we actually tried jellyfish! The texture was really really weird. Probably wont try it again. Andrew lost his hat today, so we made an excuse to go to siam square, a very very large shopping district. I dont know how they can call west edmonton mall the largest mall in the world compared to how many stores this thing has! We walked around in the mall for hours looking at all the crazy stuff they were selling. I bought a diesel handbag for 5 bucks and andrew got a new hat for around the same. We went to this really cool restaurant where you cook your own food in this boiler thing on your table. This is where we tried the jellyfish. The meal overall was pretty good, a little odd but pretty good. We took a tuk tuk to get to the mall which is a weird sort of taxi, very fun, and the driver made us walk into a suit fitter store, where they tried to get us to buy suits. Anyways, we are both having an extremely fun time here in bangkok, its very very hot, and hope everyone at home is doing well. We miss you all tons.

was approximately 120 baht (3 dollars) and very very delicious

Tuk tuk driver
he was a pretty cool guy but he took us to a tailor shop so he could get a comission, even though he didnt because we went in and said we were not interested. He said "you didnt look long enough" and we said "we got kicked out", which we did, because we said we were not interested.

Hey I dont know how this works so hopefully you will be able to get this, but thailand looks amazing!! I am even more jealous if thats possible! Sounds like you guys are having an awesome time hope the flight wasnt too boring. ANDREW I AM SNOWED IN EN-JOY THE SUN AND HEAT, BECUASE ITS ALL BUT GONE FROM CALGARY AND NELSON..caps my bad..any who andrew i have had some sick skiing so i will take you next winter, and dont get aids IT KILLS any who have a sick time man take it all in and dont miss out on anything, do it all. you should have no regrets no matter how small when you come home and specticals, testicals, walet, and watch... you need them all cheers mate

I'm really happy that you guys actually arrived there and arrived their safely. You guys look like your having a great time, and you both look very cute and excited to be in thailand. You guys are awesome and this is making me want to go to australia so bad after graduation.
