Ancient City of Ayuthaya

I decided to take the full day tour and was picked up early morning, then headed about an hour north of Bangkok to the ancient and former capital of Thailand, Ayuthaya. The rest of the day consisted of temple and ruin hopping around the town. Learnt lots about Bhuddism and saw ruins that were hundreds of years old. Seemed like Thailand had a pretty tough relationship with their neighbor Burma, as these two fought 24 wars in the span of a couple centuries, with the final one resulting in Ayuthaya's destruction. At that point the Thai's decided to move their capital to its current location of Bangkok. A lot of famous Bhudda statues were seen as well. Think it'll be a while until I visit temples again...
