On our return from our 19 day holiday trip to China and Northern Thailand, Linda's first day of school was in the new building. How exciting! Movie Night

On some Sunday evenings, Pon and Zach join us to watch Vikings and eat popcorn.

Relaxing

Birthday Boy!

Lulu took us to a bar that serves the birthday boy a shooter per year when you dine there on the day of your birth. They do limit it to 50 though, and a good thing we had friends there to help.

Kristen on Her Scooter

Kristen became very comfortable on her scooter. We were able to scooter all the way to Dongang, then ferry across to Liuchiu Island to see the sights and spend the day.

Liuchiu Island

An hour of scootering, then a 30 minute ferry ride took us to unique and picturesque Liuchiu Island, a tiny volcanic island just off of Taiwan.

Blossoms Everywhere!

Kristen was very comfortable on her scooter now, and we enjoyed touring the island.

One of the prettiest spots on the island, we always stop here to take photos.

It is amazing how colorful the temples on the island are, given the salt in the air.

Socializing With Friends

Linda taught one of the twin boys in this family last year. Now we can enjoy being friends with them. We are at an elaborate pool/spa hotel.

Lychee Farm

Lulu's uncle owns this lychee farm just outside of Kaohsiung. They also grow banana, avocado, papaya, mango, sugar cane, red chili peppers, leek, pumpkin, basil, chives, taro root, guava, sweet potatoes, and gourds.

The men work in the fields from daylight to 10AM, then have a big meal, a few drinks, and a nap till 3PM and then work again till dark. We had to join them for drinks at 10AM!

Shopping

Oh yes, the girls managed to get some shopping in too.
