Singapore day 3...
We started off the day with brekkie at a small place just down from the hotel called Toast Box where you could get coffee and toast and poached eggs for around $5 dollars. The girls and Frankie had eggs on toast for brekkie and Abby and I had peanut butter on toast...We missed the shuttle bus to the MRT so we caught the bus to Raffles and to have a look around was a long bus trip but Frankie enjoyed signing the wheels on the bus go round and round for 45mins…
We got off the bus at raffles and took few pictures and made our way on the MRT to Orchard Rd mall and other shops around the same area it was Sunday so there a lot of maids and nanny’s out and about as they have Sundays off. We had walked into the high end mall which had brands like Gucci, LV and all the other big brands to name a few…no target of Big W through...
We carried on out of the mall and had a cuppa, then decided to go to the Gardens by the Bay and look around at all
the flowers and amazing parklands they have. We jumped on the train and headed there. After a small train ride we made it Bay front station and as we walked across to the parkland we were blown away by Marina bay Sands Hotel I must say we could have stayed there but would have had to give up my Ute and both tool boxes as this place is amazing I couldn’t get over the size of the hotel and just how amazing it is to look at pictures just don’t do it justice…it’s a must see if you ever get here..
We headed down towards the Cloud and flower domes and had some lunch and let the kiddies have a play in one of the parks, This place is a great fun and free family day out with water parks and different things to do and its. We soon headed in to the cloud dome and was hit with a 35 meter water fall coming down from above and water spraying all over the place it was great the experience. We headed up the ramp to the top of the waterfall and the flowers and fernery was breathtaking. What
an amazing place to be in.
We then headed over to flower dome and was again blown away by the flowers and the surroundings...It’s just breath taking to walk around and see, they have one thousand year old olive trees which just are amazing to look at and all sorts of roses and orchards and other trees and plants from all over the world, (including a heap of Aussie trees) it’s a must see if you are ever in Singapore.
When soon headed back to china town for dinner and on the way back we found a place that has been doing sliced BBQ pork since the 1930s and must say it was amazing to try..We soon got to China Town and had dinner and we got some pork belly and rice for $5 dollars and some fresh greens, when I was in line I was talking to another Aussie bloke who said that it was the best around and he was not kidding...when finished dinner and had a look around the stalls and got a few things before heading back to our hotel to pack as we had to get up at 4:30 to go to the
Airport to fly to Hanoi
Singapore was a great spot to visit and we will be back as there are so many things to do and see. Can’t wait...
