First of all can I just say to everyone sorry it has been such a long time since my last entry, life just gets going and its just the same old same old, but I finally have something new and exciting to blog about! Singapore was amazing, although work keept me extremely busy and I hardly got to explore the actual city, I had a faboulouse time and meet some really extrodinary people. But first before I get to that, let me expaine why I was there, my work has a conference once a year in which most of our suppliers (the cruiselines) and members (the travel agents) along with a few cruiseco staff attend. Last year the conference was in Canbra (the capital city of Australia) this year it was in Singapore! So as you can imagine I was quite excited to get to attend this one rather than the previouse. Whilst I was kept busy during the day with the conference every day 8:30 - 5:30 I still managed to sneak in a bit of shoping during lunch breaks (there was a mall under the conference centre) each night we had a function or two to attend. The first night was the awards ceremony, which was held in the Raffles Ballroom. The next night we had pre dinner drinks on the helipad of te Swissotel, which was amazing! Such a beautiful view! And after we had dinner and a band play in the New Asia Bar bellow, which is still top floor of the hotel, lovely view, and hits from the 70's 80's and 90's cant go wrong there! The last night was the Gala Farewell dinner in the Stamford Ballroom, the same band played again, I had a little boggie but didn't stay out too late as it was a full on few days! All in all it was a great 5 days, I meet heaps of people from the cruise industry and got to listen to a few really intelligent and engaging speakers.
