White Bengal Tigers at Singapore Zoo
Hannah and I woke up early and got ready for another day in Singapore. We headed straight for the bus stop outside our hotel to get the hop-on, hop-off sightseeing bus around Singapore but we weren’t sure if it stopped here or not, but after waiting ages it finally came. We stayed on the bus all morning taking photos and getting a complete tour of Singapore but we really wanted to check out the famous Singapore zoo so we got off and headed for the train. We took the train to the bus terminal then after a long wait took the bus straight to the zoo, it took just over an hour to get there. First thing we did was get some lunch, KFC sounded good but after we ordered and received our food we didn’t touch most of it, it was terrible. Afterwards we bought tickets and went inside.

We spent the whole afternoon wondering around this amazing zoo seeing all types of animals including some I’ve never seen before. This included otters, monkeys, Bengal tigers, hippos, elephants, polar bears, white rhinos, leopards, pumas and many more. I took so many photos of animals my battery ran out on

my camera. After seeing most of the exhibits we decided to head off as it was going to take a while to get back. On the way out we stopped off at Ben & Jerry’s for some amazing ice-cream then waited for the bus. Eventually it arrived and on the way back to the train station Hannah and I fell asleep. We took the train down to Singapore River and got on a traditional bumboat tour down the river. It was fantastic, a great way to see Singapore, we did a round trip to the merlion and back then we got off on the other side of the water to find some dinner. Hannah found an Indian restaurant in out lonely planet which was supposed to be good but when we got there, there was no one in the restaurant so we went somewhere else.

We headed to the waterside where restaurant after restaurant staff would try and persuade us to have dinner there. We stopped at a busy Indian restaurant and sat down, ordered our food and munched on endless papadums while we waited for dinner. It soon came out and was absolutely amazing, by far the best

The amazing Singapore Zoo
Indian food I’ve ever eaten. Hannah told the staff to thank the chef, it was simply incredible food. By this time it was getting quite late so we made back for the hotel and went to sleep.
