I bought a package deal for Resorts World that was a huge win. Its on their website and a family deal including a family suite with tickets to universal studios, aquarium and waterworld. Hotels on sentosa cost a fortune so this was a great deal and less than the hotel i was looking at so we were off.

We landed in singapore around 1pm and easily caught a cab to sentosa and our room was ready - fabulous! It has been 3 years since we've been to singapore so we thought we'd spend the afternoon wandering around the island and see what is happening. Man, this is the place to be! There is so much to do 😊 we walked up to the merlion and explained to the kids the history behind this, then walked up to the lookout to look over singapore and indonesia. The kids were excited by peacocks and squirrels lol! I need to take the to the zoo at home more often 😊
Then for fun we did the luge down the mountain. I had the Little Miss and we went fast! She is a little daredevil and had a great time. The Midgit started out well and was doing fine but paniced near the end and forgot how to stop... Oops. But no one was hurt which was good 😊

Next day was the 'big' day for us... Universal Studios. I think we were as excited as the kids and although we took our time in the morning, we ended up in line 30 min before the gates even opened. My hubby is 6'3" and he could see Kung Foo Panda coming up to the gates so we sent the kids down to say hello and they were so excited running around. Now an amazing thing happened, a staff member came up to us in line and asked if we would like to open the park? YES!!! So they took us aside and we had a private photo taken with Poh, then the Midgit was asked to read a welcome speech to everyone in line and the Little Miss had to say Lights, Camera, action! I wish i had video of it as there was a good 400 plus people there with our family talking on microphones. Fabulous memory 😊 then they let everyone else in. We were given 10 express passes which was excellent too.
So... the park... Initially we tried to get the kids on the rides, but the shrek 3d movie scared the hell out of them... Oops again. So we watched some theatre acts instead including elmo and the waterworld thing and i went on the mummy rollercoaster by myself a few times- wahoo! The kids loved the character parade and the little Miss and I went to the fireworks that was pretty good. But, the biggest roller coaster was closed... Damn. The kids loved their novelty toys and just loved seeing characters walk around etc.

Next day we headed off to the Aquarium. It was pretty standard as aquariums go and within 2 hours we had oohhed and aahhhed over everything. In the afternoon we headed to Waterworld and the kids had a blast. They went on all the small rides and loved the raft through the fish and the wave pool. I stood in line for 45 min for a water slide that was good fun but i think it went for 10 seconds 😞

Food wise, we saw 'chillies' which in the US had the best eggrolls so we knew we had to eat there one night and eat all that american food you cant get in australia... Mmm. We had Singapore chicken and rice one night which is always an easy sell for our kids and we had South American meat kebabs one night. The choices of food was massive in the resort world malls but two comments... It is incredibly expensive and costs alot more than Australia, and the service was terrible! We walked out of one place after we waited an hr an our entrees hadnt arrived, luckily the kids had their meals. And the SAmerican place missed one of our plates. So not sure if you are supposed to tip but for poor service they all got zero.

Resort world was also quite good. Good as in our family suite was pretty big and new and clean. The location to everything on Sentosa was fabulous and an easy walk or monorail or free bus to anything. For going to universal studios it was the best location and we would stay there again. In saying that, there were some weird things for a $$$ resort. It was remarkably like a motel, a room to sleep in and thats it. 2 towels for 4 people, no shampoo/conditioner, no room service, no chairs on balcony, and a very open unsecured hallway to rooms from a shopping mall. All i thought a bit odd. But since we literally went there to sleep it was fine 😊

So all up a very busy 4 days and we all had a fantastic time... and now off to Krabi to do nothing....

Great to see you got your travel in!
However......did you have to end this blog with Now off to Krabi :p Insanely Jealous - have a meal at Kruatthara - your kids will enjoy the mini waitresses. Singapore hotel rooms do tend to be on the $$$ side for very little dont they? Glad you got to open the park how fantastic for your little ones.
