So far on this trip we have been to the local touristy beach of Langkawi; the atmospheric Perhentian island and the lovely island of Malapasca with its bustling local village life and a handful of dive resorts. Now however is time for something more secluded. The island we spent the next 4 days on can be found on the map of the Ph... Read Full Entry

Paradise Found
We would like to go back to the Philippines. We will add Banaue to our list. We love the water, being near the water, on the water and under the water, Loved your happy dolphin photos. Now you have a great whale tale and rescue story to tell forever.

paradise found
Thanks Dave and Merry. Our experiences will certainly be stories to tell our grandchildren. This place was really special to us and I'm sure if you love water and spending time in the sea then this place won't disappoint for you guys either. Unless it gets found out by mass tourism that is. It will be interesting to hear about your adventures to the Philippines, I'm sure it will bring back many memries for us too, so we will look forward to that, Banaue is a must, Sagada too even if that caving experience is not for you. The town is very beautiful (high up in the mountains) and has a lot more to offer than we had the time for.

Sounds perfect!
Oh wow! This place sounds so awesome. I will definitely be messaging you if we go to the Philippines. Seeing dolphins in the wild is certainly an indescribably happy feeling...pods of them swam with us for two hours once - which was really fabulous (but it wrecked our fishing trip because they scared the tuna away) ;)

Sounds Perfect
Oh it was. No problem at all. You two really have travelled and done some amazing things. Lol, sorry to hear about the lack of tuna but i'm sure the pods of dolphins made up for it. Its crazy as we have been on the road for under 4 months and I keep thinking about all the trips we cannot fit in this time. Oz one of them although everyone else says were missing out :(
