We loved Port Barton only for few days. After three hours journey by van (minibus) on dusty off road we arrivet at Roxas. We took a jeepny and travelled again on an unpaved road to Port Barton in less than two hours. At almost every settlement the jeepny stopped to load and unload goods.
We stayed at a beachfront cottages, Summer Homes which may be the best at he village. We paid 1000 PHP after a succesfull bargain. There is no aircon at Port Barton because there is electricity only between 6 PM to 12 PM. But the microclimate is cool in the morning and very hot at the day time.
The underwater life is the best we have seen in Philippines so far. We took an Island Hoping tour and snorkelled at several points, had our lunch on one of the islands . The best underwater garden is at between Paradise Island and German’s Island.
Everyday we bought our fresh fish from the market shop and made them cook to our taste at our resort. Best fish costs less than a bottle of water(1.5 lt).
The last day we rested at our cottage, wandered around the
Local Bus
From Roxas to Port Barton village and spend most of our time on the beach.
The first day we arrived we put a notice to the notice board hoping to find another couple to share a boat to Sapang with us. Last day we got a positive respond from a Polish couple.
Tomorrow we wiil sail to Sabang by boat for few hours.
