We were on our way to Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur, a place were the locals and other tourist call the Enchanted River. The travel took about 3 hours from the City where I live in Butuan to Hinatuan. The place in Hinatuan is found behind a mountain in the pacific ocean, the way in is a long dirt road. The locals means of transportation is the so called "habal habal", a local motorcycle where bunch of people can ride. When we got to the Enchanted river, we headed directly to see the river of what the people on the internet say was enchanting. "A hidden Paradise..." August 31, 2012 was marked by one of the most amazing experience in my life... I was enchanted, thrilled and so excited to go to Hinatuan River or famously known as Enchanted River by locals and tourists. It is called as the latter because the deep blue water salt appears to enchantingly flow without any source---- well, maybe because it's a salt water spring... It was lunch time when beautiful white-creature fishes greeted us. They are fed by the locals every lunch time and one can't help but be amazed on how these creatures catches your eyes. The river is ideal for scuba diving, snorkeling, swimming and even boating. Don't miss the chance to be enchanted by the hidden paradise--- the Enchanted River of the Philippines...... read more

This River has a Cave beneath it that is still undiscovered, many have attempted but none ever succeeded because the current is too strong inside of it. So until now, no one knows what lies beyond that unknown Cave. To get to the magical side of Hinatuan, one has to travel ... read more

BISLIG CITY, Surigao Del Sur in the Southeastern-most part of Mindanao facing the Pacific Ocean is the home to the most beautiful Tourist Spot in the Whole of Philippines. I have been around the Philippines, from the Northern-most part of Luzon up to the Southern-most part of Mindanao, even to other countries like Hong Kong, Japan, China and USA and I can only say this… That the most astounding, majestic and breath-taking view I have ever seen is found in BISLIG CITY and it is known as the “NIAGARA FALLS OF THE PHILIPPINES”, The TINUY-AN FALLS. For me, this is my Top 1 of the most wonderful spots in the Philippines. It’s 55 meters high and 95 meters wide, with a 4-tiered Waterfalls. It may not be the biggest in the World but the thing ... read more
