Thanks God it's Friday! My bag is jam-packed with clothes and ready, but I'm the one not ready.I am confused if I'd go to Oriental Mindoro or to Pangasinan where my boyfriend wants to go.His high school friend Lesley, who's now a Pharmacist in Saudi Arabia is here for a vacation and invited him and other three of Lesley's close friends for an annual summer bonding activity of their barkada. We left Paranaque at 5 am trying to avoid traffic along EDSA which by the way worked really well. We had our filifino breakfast in Pampanga, this consists meat, fish, eggs , garlic fried rice and coffee. We took a side trip to Subic, we decided that our limbs needs some stretching and this is one fun place to do it. Our first stop, Zambales. We have returned! After the wedding and the holidays, Mila Atienza, my mother-in-law now, decided to bring all of us to Alaminos, Pangasinan, their hometown. This would be a chance for the balikbayans (Filipinos coming back to the Philippines) Ditas Gavino and Nikki Sacasas to go back to the Hundred Islands. Fortunately, Ditas' family owns the ocean-themed house we used to stay in. It was a 6-hour car drive to Alaminos, passing through North Luzon Expressway. It used to be an 8-9 hour ride but due to the government's improvements and widening of NLEX, the drive was much shorter. We first visited the local cemetery to visit Val's deceased grandmother, Lola Nora. Then, we were off to the islands. We rode a boat in Lucap - the tip of Alaminos.
