Up at 5:45am for a wonderful, calm kayak at sunrise through the Big Lagoon. No monkeys, but many beautiful bird sounds, and we spotted the leopard eel like Ann and Mike have. It was totally enjoyable.
After brekkies, showered and packed.
At 9:40am on the dot, we left El Nido, with a good-bye song. We had an easy trip back to El Nido. In this case, we went to the town pier. We were then driven in a van through town (lots of small streets, through the market with many stalls) to the airport. It was hot in the airport open-air waiting room, but there was a bit of a breeze. The flight was on-time and fine.
Transfer from terminal to terminal was easy, despite the horror stories we had heard. We got our bags, found a metered taxi, and paid less than 200 pesos for the trip to Terminal 3.
Fairly easy check-in; line at immigration but moving efficiently. We had lunch and coffee and lingered until our flight boarded.
Arriving Taipei, we did have to wait through a long immigration line, but they opened new windows up, and this made it go quite fast.
Found the bus to the hotel; checked in. Went
downstairs for drinks and dinner.
