This is not representative of Dumaguete at all.
1. Make friends with a Canadian from Hamilton, Ontario, who's one of those old, fat and bald Westeners with a Filipina wife. Make enough noise discussing his original home town Durban, SA, to completely piss off a grumpy French tourist who'll come telling you to shut up.

2. Walk around the pleasant little Dumaguete and once at the market look up for a beauty parlor. While being manicured and pedicured by two elderly, friendly Filipinas discuss politics, economical situation in Iceland (is it really bankrupt? Geez.) and cock fights with your manicurists husband who's hanging out there at the parlor.

3. Experience an odd sensation of unexplained euphoria which you just can't shake off.

4. Get some more pampering. It's time to find a blind masseuse to whisk you to heavenly bliss.

5. Make a recommendation: If you are ever in Dumaguete, ask for Karen at the Dumaguete blind massage center.

6. Wonder if it would be funny in a novel about backpacking if the main protagonist would refuse to be massaged by people who can see, because that's just for people who go to Thailand?

7. Or even better, if it was a Tarantino movie, the protagonist would refuse to be serviced by a seeing masseuse, because "people who can see couldn't fucking finger you even if their life depended on it". (sorry Mom, that's a bit cruel. If you don't understand DO NOT ask for translation help. It's for your own good. Seriously.)

8. Feel extremely light headed and silly after 1,5 hours of massage which cost you a whopping 200 pesos (that's less than 3 euros, folks) and a big tip.

9. Congratulate yourself on having a new travel plan for the Phils: Loang-Vigan-San Juan-Donsol-Padre Burgoss-Camiguen. And Palawan again?

10. Head back to Manila for a Valentine's day date at the arrivals of terninal 2. Then fly home happy.
