Imagine if with a subtle wiggle of the hips, you could thrust yourself forward by 15 meters. If you were a Thresher shark, that would be your modus operandi for evading predators, and catching your prey. The thresher is one of the most agile creatures in the sea, pure muscle, and with his exaggerated tail, he looks like something that was engineered by a team of NASA scientists, or a crazy Japanese animation character. I feel really lucky to have picked Malapascua as a destination. From the time I got here, this place demands you to relax. The whole island is only about 1 X 3 kilometers. Half of it is dive resorts, bars, restaurants, and the other half is the native, a sleepy fishing village with a bunch of chickens and pigs running loose throughout ... read more

Stephen, my parents and I finally made our arrival to Manila after a 30 hour flight which started in Newark, through Anchorage and Tapei. When we arrived, my mom's sister Malou, brother Ferdie and brother-in-law Louie picked us up at Ninoy Aquino International Airport. They needed 2 of the drivers and 3 cars to transfer our 10 luggages and boxes. It was so great to see my aunt and Uncle after many years and as we met outside the 34 C weather and humidity felt so so good! We headed to Ayala Alabang Village in Metro Manila where my aunt lives. Here we were welcomed by my Lola, cousins and a feast of filipino food!!! After unpacking and giving out our gifts for some family members, we ended up relaxing and planning out the first ... read more

Last Dec.31, 2007 my family checked in at Bellevue Hotel in Alabang Muntinlupa City for our New Year's eve celebration. We got there at around 2:30PM and I quickly noticed a guy in uniform with a very big dog on his side! I found out that it was a trained dog coz the patch on the guy's uniform reads K-9 unit. Just wondering why are they in front of the hotel? Anyway the bellboy made us wait for a few minutes before returning to pick up our bags and we immediately went inside the lobby. Well the lobby was not that big but very beautiful and well appointed with a big Christmas Tree as we enter the hotel. Our room was on the 12th floor and we found out that we cannot press our floor number ... read more

Last Aug.25, 2007 we celebrated my husband's 33rd birthday at Parque España Residence Hotel at Alabang Muntinlupa city where my sister currently works as a receptionist there. We stayed there overnight(we stayed at their Two Bedroom Suite with a maid's quarter) and brought some foods with us. Their room is beautiful and the furnitures seem new, there were 2 bathrooms and the kitchen is big and has a microwave oven, fridge and a gas range. One of the amenities is if you want to go to Festival Mall or Alabang Town Center a shuttle will be provided to and from. So we grabbed to oppurtunity to go malling and so went to ATC to take a stroll at the mall. we also sampled the swimming pool the next day which was located at the roof deck ... read more
