The First and Second Year Tourism Management Students of De La Salle Araneta University explore the Ilocos Region last February 26-27 2012. Ilocos collectively refers to two provinces in the Philippines, the Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Sur. The inhabitants in that place are called Ilocanos. And the language of Ilocanos are called Iloko, or also called Ilocano. As a first timer to go to there, i was so excited that time because its another place for me to visit, and I know that there are so many tourist attractions to explore there . On our first day, we went to Heritage Resort in Vigan, Ilocos Sur to have our breakfast. And after we ate, we went to Baluarte, located in Ilocos Sur. Baluarte is owned by Ilocos Sur Governor Chavit Singson. Next, we went to Burnayan in Vigan, Ilocos Sur. Burnay is a jar that is used to ferment their wine called Basi. Burnayan is a place where they usually make Burnay. Next, we went to Crisologo Street or must known as the Heritage Village in Vigan. It is called Heritage Village because of the old houses there. Next, we went to Ferdinand Marcos Presidential Center that is located in Bagac, Ilocos Norte. It is a Presidential Center where you can find the memorabilias of Ferdinand Marcos when he was the President of the Philippines, like the gowns of his wife, Imelda Marcos, plate numbers, and many more. Ferdinand Marcos is the 10th President of the Republic of the Philippines. Next, we went to Malacañang of the North that is located in Paoay, Ilocos Norte. It is the residence of Ferdinand Marcos. Next we went to La Paz Sand Dunes in Laoag, Ilocos Norte. We experienced riding in a 4x4 truck and ride along the place. and then also we experienced sand boarding. And then, we visit the Paoay Church in Paoay, Ilocos Norte. This church was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site as one of the best Baroque Churches in the Philippines. And then, for us to relax, we went to our next destination, Pangil Beach Resort 😊 We have our dinner there, we swam, we sang and we had fun there 😊 Next day, we went to Bantay Church located at Bantay, Ilocos Sur. it is also called San Augustine Parish Church. And we also visited the Bell Tower near the San Augustine Parish Church. And thats the end of our tour 😊 Visit Ilocos 😊
