I want you all to go eat one, maybe two, right now. I am so damn hungry all the time living out here, I find myself fantasizing about these tasty morsels almost daily. Let me give you a little insight into my diet. These are the foods that I typically eat out here: eggs, rice, potatoes, carrots, onion, garlic (in everything!), rice noodles and tuna. Occasionally we go to town and get a fast food hamburger or a Shakeys (remember Shakeys?!?! alive and well in the 'pines!!) pizza. Now, the tuna is pulled from the ocean in front of my eyes and costs, literally, less than 3 dollars for a decent sized, whole, delicious tuna, but as you can see my diet is not very diverse. Hello Everyone, I figured it would probably be easiest to start a travel blog that I can update from time to time, rather than wait until I have enough stories for an entire email. Plus it will give you all something to check while youre at work! Currently I am in the Philippines, in the province of Camarines Norte. Just outside the capital of Daet, in a tiny tiny rice farming village on the ocean. There are some really good waves, but this is also still typhoon season, so there is some pretty good wind/rain that can rear its ugly head. Hi Everyone, I have a bit to write about since my last update. On Wednesday afternoon we visited Aunty Cora and Uncle Oscar, Aunty Cora is the same though Uncle Oscar has aged somewhat. On Wednesday night Maribel treated me out to a place called “Chef and Brew” at the Ortigas Centre, we watched a retro band who performed sixties and seventies classics, they were really good especially their renditions of “September” and “Disco Inferno”. I enjoyed a few San Miguel drafts whilst Maribel drank a wine cooler type of drink; we also had a plate of very delicious garlic mushrooms.
