Enroute
at the stopover.. Ready and Set After so many days of waiting..at last here it is!..our first out of town trip together..
Excited We woke up early so that we won't be late for the bus..it's schedule to leave at 6:30am..we ate heavy breakfast so we won't get hungry along the way..we left the house around 4:20am..it was still dark and the street was so quiet..we took a cab going to the North Bus Terminal..
Pro's and Con's We looked for the airconditioned bus as soon as we arrived in the terminal..it was around 4:45am..we were approached by several men asking us where's our destination..well, this was not a surprise for me but it was for my partner..she hates this kind of situation..actually, she's a bit upset already (just what I expected..ehe..) but I made it ease afer I told them that we're good and we know where we're headed..
I already found the bus (sign board shows: HAGNAYA) but since it was too early, I decided to wait in the sitting area..guess what?..my partner wants the other way around..she opt to get into the bus so we can grab our seats..what happened?..of course she won! (girls always do..never argue with
In the Boat
we're almost there.. them..ehe..)..both of us were amazed with the new airconditioned bus (Ceres Liners) the interior was excellent..there's only one thing that bothered us..what do you think? (any wild guess)..it was the MOVIE!..I don't know if it was the driver's choice or what because it was a classic film..anyway, we took our seat and took some pictures..
The Long Wait The bus was partly occupied..it was around a little bit past 5:00am..we waited for the bus to be fully occupied..one by one passengers came in..until we're almost full..we were expecting our bus to leave at 6:30am..surprisingly, the driver stepped in and it was still around 5:30am..we found out that bus is leaving earlier than the usual schedule..all of us were excited!..on the other hand, there's this one group that caused the delay because some of them were late..not good!..we then hit the road, we checked the time at it's quarter to 6:00am..
We're Eroute This time, it's a long ride..travel time is almost 3-hours..we enjoyed this part..especially me..my partner was busy watching the view..of course I'm busy watching her..staring her face and looking into her beautiful eyes..such a wonderful view..ehe..here comes the fare collector (ruining the moment..ehe..peace..), we paid PhP
110.00/person..this is from Cebu North Bus Terminal to Hagnaya, San Remigio..we had a stop-over in Carmen, Cebu wherein passengers can get some fresh air, pee break and buy food..
Almost There We arrived in Hagnaya, San Remigio, Cebu and it's near 9:00am..there were a lot of people in the Ferry Boat Ticket Office (Island Shipping)..the line was quite long..of course we did our part, we stood in line..I saw the scheduled departure of the Ferry Boat written in a sheet of paper posted infront of the ticket office, it's at 9:30am and right below it shows the fare -- Php 140.00 - Open-Air/Coach and Php 150.00 - Air Conditioned/Tourist..when it was our turn, we decided to buy the Open-Air..why?..yes!, we both wanted to see the view..as soon as we got the tickets we immediately went to the Ferry Boat..it was almost full.."Is that our Ferry Boat?", my partner asked..just to make sure, I asked one of the Porters..he said we're on the right Ferry Boat..then off we go..
We Made It After an hour travelling by sea..we finally made it to Sta. Fe, Bantayan!..time check -- 10:30am..good thing we were able to make a reservation even in the
Chill
while waiting for our food.. last-minute (day before our trip)..I personally chose Kota Beach Resort, one of the top resorts..here are some of the reasons why I chose this resort:
- Complimentary Transfers (to and from Sta. Fe Port)
- Restaurant inside the Resort
I don't want my partner to get frustrated looking for transfers..the driver for our transfer was waiting just outside the port area..it was a smooth ride going to the resort, more or less it took us 15-mins.
Unwind The moment we arrived at the resort we immediately checked in and went to our beach house..we're a bit tired and hungry..I checked the restaurant and looked what's on the menu..there were several food choices, may it be filipino/asian, european and even western style and the prices were reasonable..after everything was settle down we took our order but we waited more or less 20-mins before our food was served..our total bill was close to Php 400.00..
The weather was perfect!..just what we wanted..we prep and went to the beach, my partner was very excited..we spent all the time in the water..not noticing the time, it's almost sunset..both of us actually wanted to see the sunset together..since we're a bit
tired swimming, we took a nap..
It was around 9:00pm when we woke up..we were already hungry so we went outside the resort to go for food tripping..we found this small restaurant which serves not just Filipino Foods but also other Asian Foods..after we took our late dinner, we went back to the resort and went to the beach..not to swim!..we were just in the sea shore and we were lying in the beach chairs watching the sky..the sound of the waves was like a music to our ears..then we just found out that we fell asleep!..ehe..
Worth It We woke up early so that we can see the sunrise..it was still a bit dark when we went out..we started walking in the sea shore until the sunrise came out..it was nice..I started taking pictures of my partner and she did likewise..while she was walking, I was staring at her and it put a smile on my face..
The sun was out..we immediately prep so we can enjoy the beach..the beach side was a bit busy, there were foreigners playing ball game nearby..we managed to check some of the resorts in the area since they only share
Beach House
my partner.. one shoreline..since it was already mid morning, both of us felt hungry..ehe..we went to the restaurant and ordered our favorite meal of the day--Breakfast!..after we ate, we immediately prep to pack..our stay was perfect since we were able to enjoy and most importantly--relax..Ciao Bantayan!
