From Malapascua, we took the bus once again back to Cebu City, where we had booked a flight back to Boracay. When we arrived back at Frendz resort we got a really warm welcome from everyone, it felt great.
Boracay was a lot busier than before, the beach and restaurants was full of people and the athmosphere was fantastic. The only problem was the weather, it was really windy and we were told that it had rained all christmas and it was not predicted to get any better. Me and Steve didn't feel too sad about this, we were just happy to be back in Boracay.
The first morning we went back to our favourite place on the beach (in front of Zuzini, a very nice Greek restaurant) where we met some familiar faces, a Swedish couple we met the first time we were in Boracay (Kin and Lennart).
Through them we also met a another Swedish couple, Johan and Angelica, and the gang was formed. The six of us have had alot of fun during the last couple of weeks, drinking, eating, talking, laughing.
All of us went on a boat trip, which included a visit
to the coral caves, some snorkeling and a nice lunch buffee. The weather was not great, but we managed to have a really good time anyway (Could have been the beers which Lennart brought with him and shared with the guys at 9.30 in the morning =)) The day finished at a mexican restaurant (Manana), followed by some (quite a few) drinks at the Creek bar where the boys decided a midnight dip in the ocean was neccessary!
The morning after (New Years Eve) me and steve had booked to go diving, we both felt pretty hungover, but thought that a dive would do us good. The dive was great, except all the sea snakes. After that we needed a cat nap to recover for the evening.
New Years Eve was spent with our Dutch Friends Audrey and Jobb, as well as all the people from Frendz resort. We had a fantastic night on the beach, dancing, drinking and the fireworks was amazing!!!!!
The days after New Year, pretty much followed a distinct pattern. Beach during the day, meal or drinks with friends in the evening. One day the weather was really bad so we followed, Lennart
and Kin up to their apartment on the other side of the Island.
They also took us up to a 1 million pound house, which their landlady owned, but which was now occupied by the caretaker. The caretaker told us that four people had been murdered in the house (something political) in 2003 and that it stood empty most of the time (scary).
Lennart and Kin had brought some Champagne (leftover from New year) up to the house and so we had a bit of a party on the top floor, looking out over the whole of Boracay which was really nice.
Our second stint in Boracay was even better than the first, we've met some wonderful people and are leaving the Phillipines with a lot of happy memories and new friends who we're sure we'll meet again!
We're now in Angeles City having flown up here this morning ready for our flight tomorrow to Malaysia. As per usual when in a Philippines city we've gone straight to the mall. Angeles is the number one red light destination in the country and would have been avoided at all costs if not for the cheap flight tomorrow.
Early morning beers
..waiting for the boat trip at 9.30..crazy Swede's! The owner of Frendz recommended our hotel which is reasonable and out of the busy parts but we suspect it might double as a house of ill repute so are keeping our time there to a minimum haha!
Anyway once we land in Kuala Lumpur we'll take the night train across the boarder to Thailand where we're meeting Kajsa and Mike (yipee). We're really looking forward to this next leg of our journey!!!
Hope your all well and we'll be back with another exciting installment soon!
Love Maja och Steve x
