Several day's after the earthquake the news traveled that the road connection to China had been established again. Since it was mid of October already it was time to leave Karimabad. I now traveled together with Nick, Ko How, Guh Le. We had another stop of some days in Passu. From here you can usually do a five day trecking tour along the Baltura Glacier. But it was to late in season already and we sticked to some day trips to explore the valley and one of the famous suspension bridges.

Passu is famous for its two daring suspension bridges. On this one you really have to concentrate. It's more than 400 40-70cm steps to cross the valley and the icy rushing river.

In the upper part of Hunza Valley you can see the rougher side of Karakorum. It's a very cragged landscape where nature constantly reshapes the mountains and valley by the forces of the glaciers and rivers.
