NEPAL;

Nepal, a land-locked country between India and China. Predominately Hindu, with a population of 28 million.
It has a democratic government, the ruling monarch recently stepped down.
It is a developing nation with many fundamental problems. Struggling to provide jobs, education, electricity and a clean water system. Home to the Himalayas which consists of mount Everest, the highest mountain on our planet. Because of this it attracts mountaineers and casual trekkers which boosts it's tourist industry.
White-water rafting is also a popular adventure...........................................





NEPAL 2;

In Kathmandu the capital, a night out had been arranged with other bus passengers. 'Tom and Jerry' pub was nominated from the guide book. A drink-up in a real bar, the first for many weeks. An accumulation of twenty-three travelers. French, Israeli, Canadian, English, Dutch and ourselves...............................................................................................

A normal day began with Kanak, the cook's younger brother been my alarm clock. Entering the room, awakening me to a service of chai and biscuits at 6:10a.m. Followed by a brisk walk or a game of table tennis. I was no match for the teachers, kicking my butt, the students

were more my league. By 8 a.m. breakfast was served. Dhal baht, which consisted of rice, potato curry and lentil. The dinning room filled with the dormitory gang. The principal on hand to keep discipline. Assembly in the school yard at 8:50a.m. Four hundred enrolled, ranging from age five to sixteen. Orderly lines formed for a maroon and white uniform inspection. Always a frantic effort for the dormitory students to be ready. A prayer was cited and the National anthem was drum beat played.................
