Lukla airport, Lukla, Nepal Up at 4:15am to catch our flight to Lukla, which was delayed for about two hours. Finally got going in a tiny twenty seater & thankfully the ride was pretty smooth. The runway at Lukla airport is only about 150 metres long & althought the landing was a pretty easy uphill stop, I am more than a little concerned about the return journey's takeoff. We ate brekfast & picked up porters & extra guides before heading off on a three hour trek to Pakding (2610m). Had a light lunch at the teahouse, followed by an afternoon nap; the early start caught up with me. Ate my favourite Vegetable Dahl Baht for dinner, sat around the fire for a while trying to keep warm, then turned in for the night.
