October 20, Kathmandu

Woke up at 7, met Sebastian, Linda and Ginny and found another great place for a full breakfast.
Then we set out on a walking tour to the Durbar Square, in the historic centre of town. Sebastian was our guide with Google Map, and did a good job of taking us through the back roads.
Today is ox festival and our route kept on bumping into huge loud parades.
The square is rundown with some large ornate old buildings, mostly being repaired from the earthquake damage. The walk back to the hotel was a wonderful winding path through busy alleys and crowded streets.
We got back at 1, had a falafel wrap, and then had a relaxing afternoon.
The mail expediter had invited me to join him in the Diwali celebration yesterday but when I called him it didn't work today.
Ginny and I had a dinner and then said our goodbyes. Went for a last walk along the crazy streets of the Thamel tourist area.
