Our flight out of Istanbul went through Bahrain, and of course our layover was extended for some reason or another. Landed KTM the next morning and made my way back to The Annapurna Guesthouse, where I stayed in 2006. Wonderful family run Hotel, very friendly, and very helpful for anything you may need.
Thamel has changed a bit. More sketchy nudie bars line the back streets, but it still has its backpacker/mountaineer charm.
Picked up Derrick and Jillene the next day. Spent a day celebrating being back together after their India travels and our Middle Eastern trip. Ate at The Yak more than a few times and had more Mo Mo's then humanly possible! But lets get down to business, you come to Nepal to trek, so permits, gear, money and a bus ticket and we are off to Annapurna.
