Magnificent Maldives

The Maldives are simply magnificent, living up to their reputation. Unfortunately for us, the wet season beat our arrival. Still we had a wonderful three days, sometimes sunny (the snorkeling is AMAZING), mostly cloudy (but still warm), sometimes raining and sometimes storms with howling winds, big waves and pelting rain! Our over water bungalow was fantastic, huge, but quite a long walk from our tiny patch of sand called an island... in the stormy weather it was quite the adventure walking along the boardwalk, trying not to get blown into the sea!
