The number 1 thing to do and see is the Twin Petronas Towers. Leo had an early night, suffering from man-flu (no comment ladies) and Paula, not being able to sleep, chose to research advance ticket purchase. Finding out that advance tickets can only be purchased a minimum of 24 hours beforehand, resigned herself to the fact that in order to procure two of only 20 allocated tickets per time-slot you really should queue from
6am on the day of an intended visit, ahead of the ticket counter opening time of
8.30am. Then turn up at your allotted tour time. Unfortunately, late to sleep meant late to rise, and only reaching our restaurant for breakfast
at 8.45am meant we had already reconciled ourselves to the alternative, the KL Tower. All this rice we are eating has an adverse effect on our digestive system, so a light breakfast of fruit and coffee set us up to Sally forth and see what delights KL offered. A 15 minute walk brought us to the doors of the Famous Petronas Towers
at 10.20am. (We are starting to know our way around this City now, clever clogs) Expecting to be turned away, we almost
Petronas Twin Towers
Look where I am too! jumped for joy right there in the impressive marble foyer when the nice ticket counter seller sold us tickets for the
10.30am tour - woo hoo! Mind you, he relieved us of MYR170 ( almost £30, but who's counting). Great experience. Towering at
452m above street level, it is currently the world's tallest twin tower. Security brilliant, staff courteous and knowledgable, views phenomenal. Certainly one of life's memories to cherish. Took lots of photos, unashamedly! Leaving the Towers we decided to circumnavigate the City Centre to find the famous Central Market. Heat rising now, and we were a bit hot and bothered on arriving. We were expecting a Chatachuk, Bangkok Market type experience as our route there passed some very down market areas full of street food and odours of life but on arrival, which again was without losing ourselves, (well done Paula's navigating skills)', we found a very organised , very clean environment. the Market is large but we found it lacked that spark of necessity that one usually finds in such places, no banter or haggling!because it was Very hot and no shade we retired to a Cafe for refreshments prior to entering the Market proper and on looking for a

Window out to the World. suitable venue we happened on the spectacular Indian Hindu Temple of Mahammariamman, which is well worth a visit. After checking out most of the Stalls we left with Leo having purchased a Linen shirt, which he thought he was paying MYR 16' turned out to be MYR 60 ,but still a bargain at about £9.50. Negotiated our route back to hotel, enjoying a Tiger en route, intending on nap, shower and dinner later in the shadow of the spectacular Towers.
