We left Ko Phangan for KL with a couple of days stop in Ko Samui - we didn’t do much here apart from sunbathe, eat , drink and stock up on fake stuff before we left Thailand. We were so excited about leaving Thailand after all the disasters we had in every single place we’d stopped. We were packed up and ready for our 30 hour journey waiting for the bus to collect us at 6.30am. After an hours wait we realised we weren’t getting picked up and rang the company who said they forgot to book us on and we’d have to stay in Ko Samui for another night – by this stay we’d already overstayed our visa by 8 days whoops! We ended up getting fined about £180 for our visa overstay. Nice little money maker for them!



We only had two days in KL so just checked out the city, went to a butterfly house and tried unsuccessfully (twice) to get up the Petronas Towers – first day it was closed so we went round early the next morning to try one more time before we left but there was a 12 hour wait and our bus was leaving – awh well its better standing outside looking in then inside looking out at all the crappy buildings around it! – well that’s what were telling ourselves anyway!!



We only had a short stay here so didn’t have time to do an awful lot.



Off to Singapore VIP style!
