I had to leave Indonesia to renew my visa as am only on 30day non extendable non changeable tourist ones, so decided to have a little visit to KL while I was at it.

I only had time to stay for one night, but had all afternoon one day and all morning the next so quite a bit of time to have a look around.
I went for a little wander when I first got there, went to the Petronas Twin Towers (couldn't climb them though as you have to queue for at least 2hours and the tickets are usually all gone by 11am), their big mosque, freedom square, china town.. My hostel was in China town and there I met some nice people and so ate dinner with them. We went to an India restaurant where they served us on banana leaves that someone recommended, it wasn't all that special, but i suppose only about $1 so def worth that! Wandering around china town in the evening was nice, v. busy and I even had alcohol which was v. exciting, even if it did cost the same amount as my accommodation! (About $3)
The next morn I did quite a bit of walking to see as much as poss. in my limited time. I think I was most of the city's highlights. There is a bit of rainforest left within the city centre surrounding the KL Tower so I had a walk around there. The trees had obviously been there a lot longer than the city but the area wasn't really big enough to forget you were in a massive city. Still good that they've left it there! There is a big park area, the Lake Gardens, not far from the centre too. There they've got a big Bird Park, Orchid Garden, aquarium.. I didn't act go into any of these but had a walk around the area.
KL is a nice city.. good transport system and so easy to get about. If I'd had more time I would of really liked to go out of the city and visit some of the proper rainforests of Malaysia, next time...
