On The Malaysia Eye
Obviously not at the start of the ride We finally made it... I'M BACKPACKING with my kids (well, I'm in KL but cheating at the moment coz we are staying with friends).
On Day 1 we got the train,KL ekspres, from the airport to KLCC and Rach came to rescue us. Their house is lovely, reminds me of our place at home complete with pool and Chinese lucky bridge. Sweat already pouring off of us!!! Went to a place called SOULED OUT for authentic dinner, bumped into a family from Jayson's rugby team...BIZARRE.
Day 2 was Ellie's B'day party...went to cinema but it was full so we took kids to a huge pet shop instead. Still sweating.
Day 3 went to Alice Smith School Fayre to check it out. Lovely place in the jungle, could see myself working there. Very expat but more mixed families which was refreshing to see. Later on we went to a Buddhist Temple on edge of China Town, people were very welcoming as we wandered round their place of worship. Followed this with trip to China Town market for some fake stuff. Ended the evening with some authentic stall food for tea, corn / chicken pancakes / sausage skewers and
Artist GABI
batik brought out the best in her BASKINS!!!
Day 4 we went on the Malaysia Eye (smaller than London eye) at TITTIWANGSAR but impressive never the less. The coward in me was frozen and felt sick for the first 2 revolutions but luckily it went round 5 times and I almost enjoyed the last 2. Kids and I then
braved KL center alone and found lunch for 4 rm each followed by a couple of hours enjoying Batik at the KOMPLEX KRAF (not a spelling error).
