the trip beginsWe have left KL and arrived in Borneo so we thought we should write something about our time in KL. We arrived there with bags on backs in search of our hotel. Unfortunately it was very hot and humid and our hotel was hard to find thank goodness for other tourists with the lonely planet bible. Eventually we found our hotel only to be told to come back in 45mins so we ventured out into the heat once more a few bags lighter. 45mins passed and we went back to our hotel for a long awaited shower only to be told another hour before the room was ready. So Liam decided it was beer time. We sat and enjoyed a very overpriced tiger $6 and had a very eventful chat with a long time hippy who lives in Thailand and comes to KL to purchase books unfortunately he had plenty to say about the world and politics but this was all spoken ever so quietly. We expressed our need for a shower to which our friend hippy said we could have one at his hotel but we would all have to share a towel. We kindly declined and set back to

very tired after our flight our hotel where finally our room was ready and we were surprised not only a hot shower but a comfortable bed. Highly recommend chinatown boutique inn.
Besides drinking beers and cocktails our time also involved a visit the butterfly park, the twin towers and for a bit of culture the Batu caves. Which consisted of a bunch of monkeys and 297 stairs to the top of the caves short wander around where liam was amazed to find a rooster at the top. Riki wanted to see a monkey and the rooster fight but they live in harmony in such an enlightened destination, to our dismay.
That’s it for KL we were surprised how easy it was to navigate ourselves around the city the train system is wonderful, taxis are a rip off do! unless too many drinks are involved.
