June 20th

We apologize in advance for the boring blog that follows. If you're not diving there's nothing else to do here.😊

We did some research about Malaria and the threat of infection in Indonesia. The symptoms are almost exactly the same as flu, so we were worried that our recent illness and exhaustion might be more than just a simple case of the flu. You see, we hadn't planned on being in Asia this long and ran out of Anti-Malaria medication a couple weeks ago. We decided to visit the local clinic just to be sure.

After a short wait the doc could see us but he couldn't do a malaria test. Since neither of us were currently running a fever he wasn't too worried about it being malaria and gave us some pills for our other symptoms.

Not feeling very assured at all we decided to get tested the moment we arrive in Tawau. The hospital there might be able to help us. After an ice-Milo we got fruits at the market and headed home, ate the fruit, had a nap, watched a movie, went to dinner, then went back home for another movie.

Today's highlights:
1. Having a day off.

June 21st

On this special day we'd like to say "Happy Fathers Day!" to our three fathers:
our Heavenly Father, who loves us unconditionally, looks after us every day and continues to shower us with His blessings;
and our earthly fathers, who are always there for us, have sacrificed so much to give us everything we ever needed and also love us unconditionally.
We are blessed to have the greatest dads in all creation.

We had taken so many diving photos that we had to go backup our pictures again so after a lazy morning indoors we found an Internet cafe where we could do it ourselves and avoid the frustration of watching someone else do it.

After lunch we returned home for a nap. Talita has a little notebook with different Bible verses for each day. It was a gift from our sister-in-law Lindy and Talita uses it to note our daily highlights. When she looked at yesterdays verse it was Psalm 121:7:
The LORD will keep you from all harm - He will watch over your life.
This message on the day we were really worried about having Malaria... Isn't it awesome how the LORD encourages us when we need it?

We slept most of the afternoon, then packed and went for our last dinner in Semporna. On the way we were caught in the rain and had to run. Talita laughed at Ferdi cause he can't run in sandals.

Today's highlights:
1. Backing up our photos with no hassle.
2. Great message of encouragement.
