01 Islands
Some of the islands we cruised past. Geo: 5.97267, 116.071
We got up early this morning, went to breakfast and ate too much from the buffet. Then we packed our bags for the day. Yesterday we booked a taxi and it was here on time. He was taking us to the pier for our snorkelling day trip.
Here were found many westerners. We waited at the meeting spot and then someone from the dive company came over to us. He went through information for the day and then took us to the boat.
I was pretty excited as it has been so long since I had been snorkelling. On the boat there were a few staff members, Rach and I and a small group of teenagers from Melbourne. We sat at the front of the boat and then we were off! As we cruised along, the latest pop music blared from the speakers.
The boat stopped about fifteen minutes later. It was time to get into the water. After choosing fins and masks and the compulsory life jacket, I jumped in. It did take me a few minutes to get used to breathing with the mask and snorkel. The other group had a guide and Rach and I also

It was so nice in the water, a perfect temperature and there were plenty of fish to see. Unfortunately most of the photos do not do the scenery justice, the colours were much brighter. We spent an hour here and this time passed very quickly. The guide then noticed a massive school of fish. We watched the fish as they swam closely together.
It was now time for lunch and we all got back on the boat. For the next hour we were on a small island. There was some time to chill, so Rach and I lay on the beach. Then it was time to go to the cafe for lunch. We ate local Malay food and it was delicious.
We were then instructed to get back on the boat. We cruised along and soon stopped near an island. Back in the water we continued marvelling at the beautiful fish, with their unique colours and design. About an hour later we were all called together. Here there was a school of Clown Fish, which was a bit exciting. They were at the

Sadly we now had to get back in the boat and go back to shore. Our day was awesome and exhausting, but we wished there was more time to snorkel. After saying goodbye we found a taxi to take us back to the resort.
Back at the resort we went straight to the pool. Before I got comfortable on a lounger, I went to the bar and ordered us some drinks. The waiter brought them over to us. After some relaxing and swimming, we went back to our room to freshen up and then walked to the beach to see the sunset. Here there was quite a crowd of people – where had they all come from? Then it was dinner time. After that we had to start packing and tidying up our room as tomorrow we were flying back to Kuala Lumpur.
