Hi People,
So today we have arrived in Malaysia, it was the easiest border crossing so far which was amazing. Our bus from Singapore to Malaysia was really comfy as there were only 9 people on a 32 person coach it meant everyone had loads of room and your could recline without guilt!!!
I could not sleep thanks to the coach being freezing and I was only wearing shorts and T-shirt, some how I awoke to find Vick snuggled up in a sleeping bag so she was ok and kept warm. We arrived in the Cameron Highlands about 8am however after dropping people off and winding through the jungle roads we finally got to our hostel 'Father house Inn'. It was a large house building and was busy inside and out on arrival.
As we got there at 9am and our check in was not until 12pm we knew we would have to wait, however the owner made a shower available for us to use. But soon after he informed us the room was now ready as he pushed the cleaning ladies to complete our room first. (What an amazing guy). Our
room was on the first floor and was clean, had a good sized double bed and room for us to lay out our bags and sort them out. We decided to have a little nap as we were both tired.
Once awake (only an hour after) we headed down to book up a tour for the following day and to ask about the area. We booked up on a full day tour which will be in the next blog detailed fully 😉. There are lots of hiking options here and many tracks you can walk on, we decided to head out on track 4 ( see pictures to follow the route), and then walk through the town of Brinchang, and passing through a golf course (I so wanted to play it looked nice as well!!!) to head to the night market up there. It was a nice walk, the night market was ok they sold mainly fruit and veg but had the usual bric a brac rubbish. I got Vick some corn in a cup which was nice and then we decided to walk back taking the same path.
We got back about 7pm
and it was still light (due to the altitude). We decided to eat in the hostel which looked good and was cheap. Vick was chatting to a Spanish girl while making a cup of tea, so I sat with a group of people on a table and started playing cards with them, after a while Vick and her new friend joined us and we finished the cards and started swapping travelling stories. Two of the guys were Mexican and brought out this Tequila and chilli sweets from home, we all tried them. The owner for some reason was a bit drunk and gave us all a free beer so happy people all around!!!
After many hours of chatting we both were felt tired so headed up to bed and were both asleep quickly. (the beds are so comfy!!!!)
Hope you enjoy,
Love N&V
