This is the second part of our trip., the first part was Hongkong. The best part of our trip to Macau is not just seeing those beautiful casinos and hotels but meeting kind hearted pinoys there. Marilyn offered her place for us to stay eventhough sacrificing her own room so just we could sleep there. She and her husband Rod really made us feel welcome on Macau. Rod offered to lift our bagagges eventhough it was very heavy. Marilyn also cooked our dinner for our first night there. By the way Marilyn has been working at The Venetian as room attendant there. Anyway let me start my story now...
After we arrived from Hongkong, Marilyn, Rod and Jason fetched us at Macau Ferry Terminal and we boarded the free shuttle bus service going to Wynn Hotel and Casino. We were able to catch the Tree of Prosperity Show there. I was amazed by the design on the ceiling as well as the tree which just popped out from no where. The show was really beautiful. After that we checked in our bags and proceeded to the casino where we get to sample playing. I bet my HK$20 and unfortunately I
lost. We were given a card which we may use on the slots but since we don't now how to use it, Jason gets to used our cards and by doing so he won 2 umbrellas from Wynn! Dianne and Pau got the umbrellas while I get none 😞 After sometime at Wynn casino Marilyn told us that we will finally go to the Venetian which I was already dying to see! Before that I asked Marilyn if we could still catch the fountain show at Wynn, on our way there we were met by Rod and Jason(they got our bags from check-in) and told us that the fountain show just finished. It will then repeat after 30 minutes. We decided to not see the fountain show anymore coz they dont want to wait for another 30 minutes(i was sad that I did not get to see the show). So we boarded the free shuttle service again going to the ferry terminal and from there we rode the shuttle service of The Venetian.
Wow what can I say about The Venetian? I was speechless the moment I saw it! I thought I was in Vegas when I first catched
a glimpse of it! It was huge and just so beautiful! Can you imagine it has a mall inside where you could find the boutiques of Prada, Armani, Swarovski, Louis Vitton and others? The structure of the hotel and its designs were really amazingly beautiful! We had a wonderful time taking pictures everywhere! We also saw the gondola ride, like the one on Paris. The fare for riding the gondola was HK$80 and I think it was worth it although I haven' tried that one. We ate our dinner there and I must say that there was no cheap eats there! I ordered baby back ribs and I was satisfied and full by the time I finished eating. This time however we didn't go to their casino, we just passed by and went to other casinos.
Next hotel/casino we headed was Emperor Hotel and Grand Lisboa. We were able to catch a show on Grand Lisboa where there were girls dancing sexy and then there was this one who pole danced. We thought they were gays coz they don't have any boobs and curves... HA HA HA!!! After that we returned to Marilyn's apartment and retired from there.
The next day we went to San Ma Lo where Senado Square and Ruins of St. Paul are located. Wow there where so many people there walking on all directions(a lot of Pinoys too!). I bought some keychains as souvenirs there. Although I was able to bargain at HK, this time however there was no bargaining at Macau! The lady I bought my keychain from was very rude to the tourists! Anyway on the way to St. Paul's Ruins we sampled some meats being offered to us by cutting it in small size. If you would like to buy you will have to pay like MOP38-45 for a pound! It was really delicious, I now regret not buying. After that Tin and Rod separated from us, as Tin would still apply for some jobs at agencies in Macau. We all boarded a bus and then we went at Fisherman's Wharf.
Fisherman's Wharf is a themed park in Macau where you get to see different scenes from different places like Miami, Rome, Old England, or even Mount Vesuvius. While we enjoyed our stay there, I felt that we could have gone there in the night for us to enjoy the
night life.
After Fisherman's Wharf, we hoped to go to Guia Hill but unable to do so coz there was no one there who could point us the right direction going there! We just got tired asking for directions so we headed for Macau Tower for our next stop. We boarded bus No.32 and off we went to Macau Tower. Arriving there we were surprised to know that there was an entrance going up so we just went outside to catch some bungee jump action going on. We also visited the Warner Bros. store where we took some pics with Superman, Batman and Tweetie! After some time there we got hungry as we still had not eaten our lunch so we proceeded on boarding bus no.32 and ate at the nearest Mcdonald's. After that I already prepared my stuff as I will soon go home and catch the flight at 10:15PM. We left Marilyn's place at around 7:30PM and arrived at the airport at almost 9PM. Tin, Pau and Dianne accompanied me at the airport as I am the only one who will return(just yet) to the Philippines. I arrived at NAIA at 12:30AM, Pastor Boni, nanay and Nora
fetched me at the airport. I was dead tired and sleepy when we got home at almost 1:30AM! So sleepy and tired and yet so happy!
