Entrance to the Temple
...so if you ever go this is what the entrance to the temple looks like, you just need to head left and follow the path... Every single person I spoke to that had been to Vientiane had not rated it atall, so made the call to not stay the night. We spent the day/afternoon in Vientiane going for lunch and finding the Temple with the Herbal Sauna/Massage and it was well worth it. Its the one listed in the Lonely Planet but when we got there it wasnt very busy and a nice mix of Locals and Backpackers! The tuktuk took us around and showed us the main sights so we were able to get a feel for the place (which I didnt think seemed too bad)
Just the girls went to the temple for the Sauna/Massage which was really nice, while the boys went off to see the golden temple. When we arrived at the temple we werent sure what to expect as it didnt seem right, we were called out to by the lady in charge, and went into this room on stilts. After we realised we were in the right place we started with the Herbal Sauna which was awesome, chatted to a local and others. Then we all had our Laos Massage, which was really good (much better than the
Sauna/Massage Place
These place is on the grounds of the Temple. Looks a bit odd I know but well worth a visit I promise you! one Id had in Luang Prabang). Only costs 40,000kip(2pounds) for sauna/massage - yet another bargain - highly recommend!
That night we got picked up for our overnight bus to Pakse!
