Leaving Pai, I take a night mini-bus to the Thai-Laos border with Val and 10 others. We arrive at Chiang Khong at 3am at a guesthouse that looks like a mental asylum out of a horror film, to be greeted by an old lady in fluffy red pyjamas; "three, three, three" she says and points to a room with 3 beds in it. A fashion designer for 7 years and it's all I've ever done - I love my job, I really do... I get to draw T-shirts for a living (though it's far more complicated and stressful than that!) I see people wearing my stuff on the street, I get to travel to amazing places round the world - hell I get paid to go shopping in LA twice a year...and that's just one of the 8 places I visited with work last year...
