At the beginning of September I met up with my parents in Kyrgyzstan. A few months ago, no one could have imagined that we could actually see each other in Central Asia, but sometimes things turn out in a funny way, and more often than not, they turn out perfectly! My father has a cyclist friend (Michel) who had visited Kyrgyzstan before and when he heard that I would be in the area on my bike, he suggested my parents go and meet me there. The 3 of them flew to Bishkek and met up with James, a Frenchman married to a Kyrgyz lady, and they rented bikes and a van to drive down to Osh where I was waiting for them. It felt amazing to catch up with my parents and share my biking adventure with them for a few weeks. We had lots of catching up to do and Osh was a great place to do

beautiful Southern Kyrgyzstan so, while visiting the local markets, the mosques, the mountains that offer bird’s-eye view over the city. And then the 4 men got on their bikes and hit the road very hard! My mom mostly stayed with the driver and she waited for us every 10km to take pictures, encourage us and prepare some good snacks. From Osh, we rode to Toktogul and then off to Chayek through a beautiful unpaved road in the mountains. I think you will enjoy the pictures and marvel at the different scenery Kyrgyzstan has to offer. More to come very soon. All the best from Jeremy
