Kendo, the Way of the Sword is the art of Japanese Samurai Swordsmanship. It is rooted in the traditions of Budo, the Martial Way. It's always good to have some Kendo friends in JP, unless u r in trouble with the Sumos.
Jambo jambo folks, how's it going .. everything under control ?
Just left great nippon with some sad feelings in our minds. We spent 2 awesome unique weeks in JP, enjoyed the outstanding hospitality and company of great sonnyboy Mahesh, explored some stunning areas (which are clearly not mentioned in any JP guide-book), made juicy acqaintances with local people, uncovered some secrecy myths (while keeping all the open questions and riddles as a mystery for our next visits), became addicted to japanese beer and bento ... aaaand climbed his holiness, Mt. Fuji as u can verify in the pix section.
This was indeed a memorable journey and has to be continued at some point. As a matter of fact, our last asian halt lies just ahead, tm we shall head out to Bali/Indonesia where we'll continue our academic investigation. We intend to visit Lombok, Java and Sumatra as well and will present u the unfiltered truth, bare naked facts, more authentic and real than any CNN coverage (ho ho) to come shortly. After Japan I can't express how much we are looking forward to switch again to constant bargain mode again ... and this is a lie 😊
Thanks for listening,

This place is hosting many temples and shrines which are on the World UNESCO Heritage list. Very charming, of cause we got lost in the forest ... But rescue helicopters don't take long in Japan to free you.
stay tuned on that station, Iri & tonyboy

In order to escape from the masses (in particuliar huge super-equipped japanese travel parties with oxygene masks), we started early in the evening. Drawback was the fact that we reached the top in total darkness and almost fell into the crater.

Very nice memories are connected to the day when these people (father with his 2 wonderful daughters) took us around in his hometown Takao. We got the rare and honorable chance to visit is the Imperial Mausoleum (Tama Goryō) in which the Taishō and Shōwa emperors are buried.

The two weeks you were around, it was so much packed with lively activity, be it the ps2 we played, or having some healthy yummy salad made by Chef Iri...i miss you both already ... i feel there is so much of emptiness in the house.. i guess even the house is sad to have let go of their honourable deutsche guests ....Any was i am sure you people have a mission ... to travel round the world if not is 80 days .. a year ... So i wish you all the very best and safe travelling to other parts of the world.. but may we you may not find written instructions, the subways or the shinkansens which you might have got so used to in this land .....with cherishing every moment we spent together i look forward to your next visit ..again ..
