Hi friends!! October has been a SUPER busy month so far--I've been doing a fair amount of traveling, exploring, and (unfortunately) homework. It's been so much fun (well, homework hasn't been)! One of my favorite activities I did this month was on a Sunday I went out with my host mom, younger host brother, and my host mom's friend and kids. It was a gorgeous Sunday--the sun was shining, no clouds in the sky, and it was warm. We went out for lunch and after words biked to 代々木故園 (Yoyogi koen -- Yoyogi Park) (which was only about a 10 minute bike ride, and my host mom's didn't go with us because she had some stuff to do). Oh Tokyo. Zeig dich doch mal von einer guten Seiten für uns. Wir haben höchste Höhen im 45. Stock des Rathauses erklommen und tiefste Tiefen im 3. Untergeschoss des Bahnhofs durchwandert. Alles hier wird genutzt, Tokyo ist nicht nur in seiner Breite und Masse erdrückend, sondern wächst auch an ungewöhnlichen Stellen - am Luxuseinkaufszentrum ist ein künstlicher Wald angelegt, in dem man sich vom Großstadtstress erholen und von Starbucks (natürlich) was trinken kann. Die 34 Grad drücken immer noch und die Menschenmassen machen einen fertig, vor allem am Bahnhof Shinjuku, wo wir austeigen, denn es soll der größte Bahnhof weltweit mit über 3,5 Mio Passagieren täglich sein. Das Sexviertel mit seinen love hotels, das Queerviertel 'golden gai' und das Elektroviertel sind zwar spannend, bei den Menschenmassen aber anstrengend. A friend of mine noted that this placewas fairly new and when I started to look into what it was about, decided that I had to see this show. When I started reading up on it, it sounded like a show there would only be about ¥ 4000, but when I got there learned that it was actually ¥ 6000. I also learned it was about a 90 minute show, but to be quite honest, found it pretty fun and interesting, even if I couldn't quite piece together the different acts of the show. Bonjour à tous, si vous recevez ce premier poste c'est que de près ou de loin vous vous êtes intéressé à mon voyage. Si ça vous gonfle et que vous ne voulez plus être spammer, il suffit de se désinscrire ! Première poste assez rapide car je suis bien crevé (ça fait une raison de plus pour pas faire attention aux fautes d'horthographe) pour résumer, je devais arriver à Tokyo à 8h du matin et j'y suis finalement arrivé à 23h, ça c'est du retard, merci lufthansa ! En gros on a été rattrapé par un typhon, et après 2 tentatives d'atterrissage un peut rock'n roll, on a fini par arriver à Osaka. In the daytime Shinjuku is bustling with business people, open restaurants and tourists. As one of the arteries of the city, you can transfer from here to other parts of Japan. To taste the real flavour of this section of town, you have to comes here at night. After hours, office workers cram the narrow alleyways looking for drinks and one of the many Isakayas.
