Arrived in Tokyo!!

What an amazing day! Just arrived in Tokyo and just as we were walking through I realised I forgot my pillow and had to run back onto the plane, duh! The weather is incredible and Japan is just like you imagine it. Little hut style houses everywhere!! So once at the airport we got the train to Shinjuku which was pretty expensive but a very long journey. Loved the trains, totally poo all over Virgin trains back home. Once in Shinjuku we got the shinjuku subway line to Akebonobashi, 2 stops from Shinjuku which is where our hostel is. Found it pretty easily and absolutely love our hostel! Its called The Ace Inn. We have only booked it for 4 days but most likely will extend as its perfect location and very friendly. We have free internet access and staying on the top floor in the mixed dorm. However because me and zoe are awesome we have been given this amazing Japanese style hut room INSIDE the dorm. Its private from everyone but we still have the option to socialise, its incredible. The only one in the whole hostel! Once in our room me and zoe literally stripped off and lay there half naked because we were so sweaty and minging, we couldn have done that in the regular mixed dorm beds!

After that went for a wander in Akebonobashi, its a really nice area and everyone seems smiley. Got some incredible food from a supermarket then crashed out in bed for 4 hours, totally jet lagged! Met some friendly people in our dorm, a couple of Irish girls, a few americans/canadians and one girl called Toko whose australian with japanese in her. She took us down this amazing alley full of tiny bars/restaurants we would never have known about! Had a really nice meal in a gorgeous little restaurant, some broth type thing that was delicious. Didn understand a word but luckily Toko helped us out there! Bedtimeeee. Meant to be going kareoking tomorrow, fun times!
