Edit Blog Post
So we were up quite early this morning to catch the train from Kyoto back to Tokyo. British Rail needs to look at the Japanese train system as I know it could learn a lot from it.
The train was brilliant once again and gave me time to finish the book I have been reading called Still Alice by the author Lisa Genova. If you only read one book a year, this is the book for you, it is one of the stories that you want to stand up and tell a train full of strangers YOU HAVE TO READ THIS BOOK. Ok so rant and rave over now and on with the blog.
We arrive in Tokyo and find the hotel really easily - see we are turning Japanese (I told you so in an earlier blog). The Hilton's room is really large and the hotel is in a great spot, once again pat on the back Paula for finding this fab deal - I think I am definitely a Mitchell from Eastenders with my dodgy dealings and looking for a bargain.
So we decide to go to Shibuya which is the busiest pedestrian crossing in the
Shibuya Area
How fab is this ! world. If you remember when we went on our round the world trip in 2012, this was the crossing that Mike had to drag me to as I could not see the point in seeing a pedestrian crossing but it is absolutely amazing and worth watching.
Well MERS is all on the TV here is Asia and if you know me you know I can sneeze at anything and I can sneeze 15 times in one go - so I can honestly say I can see the whites of everyones eyes.
So we find somewhere to have a glass of wine and this is the first time I feel, hang on here mate, I might be a westener but don't take me for a ride. We order a small carafe of wine (yes I did say small and yes this is Paula writing this blog) and the man next to us orders the same and all I can say is ours was a lot smaller quantity than his - not playing the game mate, not playing the game. If only I could speak Japanese I would have given them something to talk about.
So we decide to
find somewhere to eat and fall upon Cafe onesai absolutely amazing the Kobi beef was unbelievable YES unbelievable we order 2 portions. You cook it at your table - once again unbelievable. We are now back at the hotel contemplating what to do tomorrow - plus I have just purchased another pair of Converse Trainers - think I might be taking Mike back again to the shop tomorrow as cannot believe what a bargain I got - plus shoes - which girl can have enough pairs of shoes - tried this with Mike on Prada Handbags but did not quite get the response I thought I should have - got to give it ago, perseverance is the name of the game.
We are both now here with our Kimono dressing gowns on - think I might have to revert back to my Mitchell ways and have these in our suitcases - however, Mike the honest one will be taking them out as soon as my back is turned - ex risk director or what!!!!!
