Edit Blog Post
Since the Travelblog site crashed and I had to restore some of my blogs (very annoying), I haven't been bothered to update my blogs (Facebook is also taking over my internet!)....but finally now the holidays and summer session are over, and I have no more visitors 😞 sniff sniff, I will continue to update my travelblog, fingers crossed nothing else happens!
So back to the end of July...
Abekawa Hanabi - Abe River Fireworks Amy and I went last year and it was fabulous, best fireworks I have ever seen, and this year was also the same!!! Swarms of people, festival food, yukatas (yours looked great Bec!), alcohol, friends and of course the fireworks - check out the pics! I was excited because my new camera has a 'fireworks' setting!
Beach BBQ The same group of us from the night before at the fireworks, took a small road trip out to a nice beach past Shizunami and Omaezaki, the more popular beaches. The ocean was still a little churned up from the typhoon a couple weeks before, and sand not the cleanest, but It was a beautiful day and the water felt great! Patxi went for a walk
and when he returned told us that there were so many dead "animals" on the beach! So we went to look, expecting to see dogs or cats or something, but all there was were dead jellyfish! Lost in translation! Haha
