I'm a small Swede that simply just love to travel. I haven't been around as much as I'd wish to yet, but my life long goal is to visit all the countries in the world. I still have a long way to go before that mission is accomplished though. Thanks for taking us along on your adventures around Japan, and a special thanks for the rich cultural details you shared. Being awake for 40 hours is brutal, and I think you'll have to elaborate on 'I somehow managed to end this trip by booking a flight to Gdansk in Poland next month'! :) I look forward to your adventures in Poland in the heart of winter :)

Thank you! I'm really happy that you've enjoyed reading about the trip. I had been thinking about going to Gdansk for a while because I've heard it's really beautiful and Ryanair fly there from my local airport and I found a return flight for 20 euro so I didn't think twice but just booked it and when I woke up in the morning after I found the confirmation in the mail. :-P
