14th January 2007 Board- check, Boots- check, Bindings- check, warm clothes- check, beanie- check, bum pads- check. I was set. Snow Antics

Matt in front, Aimi, Amy, Hiromi and Haroumi took the picture. It wasnt confusing at all.

DINNER

Shabu-shabu- a pot of dashi boiling over a candle, you dook meat and vegies in it and then fish them out and add sauces. Yum!!!

Setsubun

The weekend we were away happened to be Setsubun- or ogre day, when beans are thrown at the ogres, who come to take the bad children!! These fine specimens burst into our rooms at 10pm, and we were ready!!

Setsubun- the ogre!

Beans are thrown at the ogres to get rid of them, and at this place the grandma of the house scared them off by banging her fry pan with a wooden spoon.

Everyone joined in the ogre party!

That night, it snowed...

And we woke up the next morning to a white world.

I love snow!!!!

Amy your photos are amazing! Real snow, how cool! I bet I would have totally stacked it too, but seems like you've gotten the hang of it now, and the stacks on the chair lifts shouldn't count anyway haha! Hope your injuries are better! Remember the tape next time you go snow boarding. Hope the knee feels better soon. Im not sure about the snow fairy thing- Looks like a bad advert for snow boarding exhaustion. Look after yourself Icant beleaf you are doing all these things

just catching up on all the news. What a magnificent adventure you're having. Nothing like experiencing it all. Your writing really makes us feel like we've been there. I love it, I can go to the snow and not be cold!! Just looks heavenly, great photos, they'll be a real treasure to you when you are home again. Keep well, all is good here. cheers LOL
