Disneyland, here we come! Early start for breakfast in the Hilton's dinning room with a full buffet to fill up for the busy day ahead. The hotels bus picked us up at 7:50 for the 5 minute ride to the Disneland entrance, and have a look at the size of the crowd. Huge crowds were lining up ready for the 0800 gate opening, luckily Kate has good Japanese skills so we could move straight to a shorter line to purchase tickets. Right on 0800 the gates opened and within 5 minutes we had our 1st fast pass and were lining up for our 1st ride of the day. Tomorrowland - Star Tours, Captain EO , Space Mountain. Toon Town - Gadget Coaster, Roger Rabbit .. Critter County - Beaver Canoes where we also last saw Koala , we think we left him on bear's fishing pole! Splash Mountain for a 1.5.hr line up! We had a light lunch in the line up and pumpkin icecream after. Pumpkin? Of course it's Halloween here! Not a lot of English spoken but they do say Happy Halloween! The parade was on so we followed a group around the crowds to get to Adventure Land
for a ride on Pirates of the Caribbean. By now it was only 1pm, we had 9 hours to go! And were very satisfied with our fastpass times and minimal lining up! We wandered back across the front of the park to Tomorrowland for our ride on Buzz Light Year Astro Blasters, rested for a coffee and caramel popcorn. Then onto Thunder Mountain a rickety roller coaster with twists and turns and sudden drops! Through the fairy castle and onto the teacups and SnowWhite Adventures in Fantasyland. Backto Tomorrowland for our second go on Startours and time for dinner. Curry and rice was the best meal, not spicy or too creamy so perfect for filling your tummy in time or another ride. Another go on Space Mountain which was our last fastpass for the day. It was our 7:45pm and 2 hours before closing time. We ran over to the Grand Priix Raceway , most families had left the park so no line up! The second parade had just finished so we ran back over to Splash Mountain and wow! No line up! We ran and laughed our way to the bottom of a 200m long cave to get straight
on in our own boat! As we came to the top of the mountain the fireworks began, and we had our very own special family moment...until...we plummeted back into the mountain and down the waterfall!! We recover to Westernland for a final ride on Big Thunder Mountain. Unfortunately the crowd had these idea and we waited for 25 minutes. Still not a bad wait, just tired! The last two events were Haunted Mansion byKateand Andrew- hardly haunted...Snow White is scarier than this! Lori and Riley went for a slowride on Dumbo looking at the view from the top. The castle lights were beautiful we tried to get a few photos but it's the atmosphere of defeating Disneyland in one day that gave us a sense of relief and satisfaction . A quick walk back to the free hotel bus and back to our room by 10.35pm for snacks , chat and laugh! Lights out by pm11pm - shattered !
