Welcome party for overseas exchange students.Chinese, Korean, Malaysian and me...Aussie.Arrived to Japan after 16hours on Swiss air, it was the best flight of my life,
really easy flying and heaps of fun, I didnt sleep at all.
I was sitting in the middle row, 2 Japanese business men and 1 Czech man.
We talked, drank and talked. I tasted dried octopus for the first time which
the Japs offered me, and Jakub had some mandarins from Albert...
Swiss Airlines is a terrific carrier...Australian red wine and swiss chocalate...
hmmm yummy stuff.
I watched 2 movies, the inflight entertainment is second to none.
Arrived to Tokyo where my friend Chiza Iimura San met me at
Narita airport...0900am
We went to Shimbayashi, Shibuya, Akihabara ( electric city) 6 floors and
very, very busy and very, very cheap. We went to Iza Kaya restaurant
for dinner and drinks, sashimi, sudachi (cocktail), yakitori.
Tokyo is amazing, 24 hours city, lights on shops open, the Japanese
dont stop working, partying. Sleep when Im dead is their motto.
The next day I visited Ginza, very lavish, exclusive and weathly
people or people who want to be seen come to Ginza. Image is
everything, clothes, hair, accessories and where you eat and drink matters.
Around 5pm all
My Universuty ...CHUBU
the Japanese business man are buying flowers
and sweet treats for the HOSTESS, they go to the restuarant/bar
to see the HOSTESS ( a Japanese lady who provides company)
talking, listening and drinking with them, most of the business man
are married, this is Japan. The Hostess is very well dressed,
she has to be tough, drink alot, talk alot, smile alot.
The pay is great I hear, but awfully hard work. By about 11pm
the business men are coming out of the HOSTESS bar/restuarant
drunk and there is alot of thanking going on. The Hostess must
wait until all the men are gone, she bows to them constantly
saying thank you very much, it was an honour!
The next day I went to Nagoya, took the shinkansen ( bullet train 300km/hr)
very expensive ticket...11000yen...USD100 If I took the bus it would be half price but 7 hours . NO THANKS!
Arrived to Kasugai, Chubu Daigaku at 430pm 27th March 2007.
