To boldly dive where no one has dived before. Hobby or Obsession? Great Pictures
Ali, Great pictures, you should consider trying to sell a few of them as stock photography. If I could give any advice it would be to watch your depth of field, but I'm not sure if that's easy to do underwater. Otherwise, some of those pictures are amazing! Michael Turner (www.mytb.org/TeamTurner)

Let the marine biologists debate...
The Place you seek is the Togian Islands. I hope you are still in Sulawesi so you can head down there. I won't go into too much detail now, let it be our secret;-) Also the islands around komodo and east of Flores will bring you to some of the least disturbed and magical dive spots in the world. In my humble opinion Bunaken was (at least 10 years ago) too popular and alas too close the big City of Manado and it's big dirty river. There used to be a joke doing the rounds back then to ask people who went to Bunaken if they saw the plastic bag fish? How is it now, have they cleaned up their act? Happy travels P.S. And commendation on a noble recovery from the August 2007 crash!

Yes - it was close to Manado
I did see a lot of trash washing up on the shores of Bunaken - and the odd plastic bag while diving! I don't know if it is improving or not - but I was happy enough diving there :) Thanks for the tip on Togian islands - unfortunately I'm in KL now, given the chance I'll go back to Sulawesi.

Been there it was wonderful
Allstair, I stayed on Bunaken Island in 1998, it was the best snorkeling experience I've ever had. I love the island. Too bad it's so close to Manado, you know it's going to be ruined soon by overpopulation. The other islands are good too though.
